Breyvan Tan
Breyvan Tan is a seasoned leader in cybersecurity education and digital capability development, with close to three decades of experience in developing technology talent, professional competencies, and industry capabilities across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.
He is the Founder and CEO of Wissen International and Wissen Digital Academy, where he leads initiatives in cybersecurity and AI competency development, professional certification, industry training, and education. Over the past 10 years, Breyvan and his team have contributed to the training and development of more than 30,000 cybersecurity students and professionals and over 350 senior cybersecurity leaders, while building partnerships with educational institutions, enterprises, training organisations, and industry stakeholders across the region.
Beyond his professional work, Breyvan is an active contributor to Singapore’s cybersecurity and technology ecosystem. He previously served as Vice President of the Association of Information Security Professionals (AiSP) and has held leadership roles within the SGTech Cyber Security Chapter. He also serves as Expert (Industry) of the Cyber Security Technical Working Group (TWG) for WorldSkills Singapore, where he has contributed over many years to skills development and the nurturing of the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, and has been recognised with a Long Service Award for his contribution.
Having begun his career in IT education, Breyvan has maintained a strong belief that people and capabilities are fundamental to building a secure and resilient digital society. His work has increasingly focused on bridging industry and education, helping professionals, students, educators, and organisations develop relevant capabilities for a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This has expanded to include essential AI skills and AI-related competency development for leaders, reflecting the growing importance of AI literacy alongside cybersecurity and digital resilience.
As a DDAS Nexus Advocate, Breyvan will champion the mission of Digital Defence Alliance Singapore by sharing his experience and industry perspectives, promoting cybersecurity awareness and capability development, and strengthening connections across industry, education, professionals, and communities to contribute towards Singapore’s collective digital resilience.
