DDAS Members Code of Conduct

As members of the DDAS, we commit to conducting ourselves with professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times.

 

Members Shall:

  • Act in accordance with the laws of Singapore and in the best interests of DDAS.

  • Acknowledge and give due credit where it is deserved.

  • Exercise due diligence in all deliverables.

  • Act with honesty and impartiality.

  • Treat others with respect.

  • Take full responsibility for their own work and actions.

  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive information.

  • Serve the ecosystem and contribute positively to the community.

  • Perform their duties within the scope of their professional competence and in compliance with applicable standards, without expecting or accepting rewards in return.

  • Carry out assignments professionally and to the best of their ability.

  • Report any actions or incidents they reasonably believe to constitute a breach of law, legal duties, or regulatory requirements to the appropriate authorities.

  • Uphold the vision and mission of DDAS.

  • Continuously upgrade their skills and knowledge to remain relevant.

  • Be helpful, supportive, and grateful to fellow members of the community.

  • Recognize, avoid, and appropriately resolve any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Embrace inclusivity and diversity, avoiding discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, disability, or other personal attributes.

  • Share knowledge and mentor others within the community

 

Members Shall Not:

  • Represent or speak on behalf of the Society without proper authority.

  • Make defamatory statements or engage in conduct that could damage the reputation of the Society, fellow members, or the wider professional community.

  • Use or disclose Society or Governing Body information for personal gain or advantage.

  • Manipulate, spread rumours, or create discord within the Society or the community.

  • Misuse digital platforms or social media in ways that may harm the Society or its members.

 

Conflict of Interest

  • Members shall recognize potential conflicts of interest and take immediate, appropriate action to avoid or resolve them.

  • Where a conflict arises between responsibilities to an employer, the Society, and the requirements of the law or this Code, the member must identify the conflict in writing to the employer and the Society, retaining a copy for their own records.

  • Members shall declare any conflict of interest to the Society as soon as they become aware of it.

  • Members shall not disclose any information belonging to the Society or its Governing Body for personal interest.
