Save the Date V2.png

In celebration of International Women’s Day, DDAS will be organising an inspiring event that champions women shaping the digital frontier. The theme for this year is “Give. Grow. Gain: Empowering Women Leading the Digital Future”. Give. Grow. Gain is more than a theme — it’s a movement to empower women to give back to their communities, grow their digital capabilities, and gain the confidence and networks needed to lead in a technology-driven world.

This year’s celebration will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and aspiring changemakers for a dynamic programme featuring panel discussions, fireside chats, and showcases of women driving impact across cybersecurity, AI, fintech, and digital innovation.

Start Where You Are: Taking Your First Step into Digital & Cyber Skills

In today’s fast-moving digital world, every woman — regardless of background or role — needs a level of digital confidence to thrive, stay safe, and remain relevant.

This session is a gentle, empowering conversation on why digital and cyber skills matter, how small steps can lead to meaningful growth, and why starting where you are is more than enough.

Through relatable examples and practical insights, Judy will share how women can begin building digital and cyber skills without feeling overwhelmed or needing a technical background.

Attendees will receive a special learning gift as part of the session!

Behind the Firewalls: Women in Cyber

In a world where cybersecurity is often misunderstood -  reduced to hoodies, hackers, and heavy coding - this myth-busting session offers a refreshing, human-centered perspective.

Delivered in a lighthearted storytelling format, this talk shines a spotlight on the diverse, impactful, and often invisible roles women play in cybersecurity - not just as coders, but as strategists, auditors, and AI-savvy problem solvers.

Through her personal journey from childhood dreams of NASA to leading payment security at Southeast Asia's leading superapp, Raghavi shares:

  • What a “real” day in cybersecurity looks like

  • Why coding is helpful but not required to make an impact in the field

  • How women are leading across domains - from AI ethics to data protection

  • Tangible ways to explore or pivot into cybersecurity, no matter your background

Attendees will leave with practical takeaways, fresh perspective, and one powerful reminder:
“You don’t need a cape to be a protector in the digital world”
