Chris Chow

Chris has a diverse background spanning media, intellectual property, education, and international business. He began his career at the Financial Times where he held various roles including the Country Manager of the Philippines.

He currently serves as a Director at AMPliefi, where he leads strategy, general management, and international partnerships. He is also the Executive Director for the Center for Strategic Cyberspace & International Studies (CSCIS)

Previously, he led the International Trading Institute (ITI) —the first trading-focused academic institute in the world—where he advanced Singapore’s position as a global trading hub. He was also instrumental for developing and launching the Business and Digital Transformation Programme which was tailored to help Singaporeans equip themselves with the necessary digital and business skills during the heart of the COVID pandemic.

With the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, (IPOS), he was in charge of the Enterprise Development Department, where he initiated various initiatives to develop Singapore’s intellectual property management ecosystem and represented the country at global forums hosted by international organisations such as the World Intellectual Property Organisation and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
