Ong Tiam Chye

Nominated Council Member - ITE

Ong Tiam Chye is a dedicated education leader and technology expert, currently serving as the Deputy Director of the School of Electronics & Info-comm at ITE College West in Singapore. He oversees both the Physical Security and Cybersecurity progammes, with expertise in Digital Defence, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation.  


Throughout his tenure, Tiam Chye has been a driving force behind educational excellence. He has spearheaded new course developments and curriculum design, and successfully introduced pedagogical reforms to keep the school at the forefront of industry relevance. His expertise is recognized at the national level, where he served as an expert member in the Technical Committee involved in crafting the Singapore Standard 558. 


Guided by a strong professional philosophy, Tiam Chye believes that "Data without insights is meaningless, and insights without action are pointless." 


He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
